LAKE WORTH —
Six people were injured this evening in a two-vehicle crash in the north end
of the city, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said.
One adult and two children were flown by Trauma Hawk to Delray Medical Center,
said Capt. Albert Borroto, spokesman for Fire Rescue. A third child was
taken to Delray hospital by ambulance, Borroto said.
Two other adults also were taken to local hospitals with minor injuries in the
accident, which happened around 6:30 p.m. at 11th Avenue North and North
A gray Volvo and a maroon Toyota Camry were involved in the collision, said
Teri Barbera, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman.
The Volvo was traveling south on Federal. It appears the Camry’s driver
misjudged the Volvo’s speed and pulled out in front, Barbera said. The Camry
was struck on the driver’s side.
None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening, Barbera said.
