A teenage girl was killed when two cars collided in New Jersey Saturday night.
Essex County authorities say four other people were hurt in the crash that happened at the intersection of Broughton Avenue and Walter Street in Bloomfield.
16-year-old Christina Lembo of Bloomfield, was seated in the back of a 2007 Honda Civic when it collided with a 2000 Chevrolet Camaro around 11:10 p.m. Lembo, who was a Bloomfield High School soccer player, was taken to University Hospital in Newark but died a short time later.
Police say there were two other people in the Honda Civic and two in the Chevrolet Camaro and all four were taken to nearby hospitals and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
A memorial with dozens of flowers and lit candles lined the curb on Broughton Avenue, near Walter Street on Sunday as residents came to pay their respects.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
