International Polo Club founder John Goodman has settled civil lawsuits filed against him by the parents of the man he killed in a vehicular homicide for $46 million, The Palm Beach Post reported.

Scott Wilson was 23 on the night that a drunk Goodman ran a stop sign in his Bentley, hitting Wilson’s car and causing him to plunge into a lake and drown, according to authorities. Now, his parents Lili and William Wilson have each agreed to accept $23 million for losing their son in the February 2010 crash, the Post reported.

Goodman was found guilty of DUI manslaughter and vehicular homicide in March and could be sentenced to up to 30 years in prison.

The settlement was revealed in court papers this week, as Goodman’s attorneys work to get the 48-year-old released from jail while he appeals his conviction, the newspaper reported.
