A Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office employee was flown to the hospital Thursday morning after she was hit by a backing car in the department’s parking lot, sheriff’s spokeswoman Teri Barbera said.
Barbera said the crash happened at about 6:15 a.m. in the dark parking lot, near Gun Club Road and Congress Avenue. The woman, arms loaded and walking into work, was bumped by the car that was backing at maybe 3 mph to 4 mph. With her arms full, the woman fell hitting her head on the pavement, Barbera said.
