August 18, 2012 (CHICAGO) (WLS) —
A mother and child have died after a multi-vehicle crash Saturday evening on Lake Shore Drive.
Two other people were injured in the crash.
Police say the mother was driving north near Montrose when she lost control, crossed over a median into southbound traffic and hit two other cars.
All southbound lanes were closed between Hollywood and Montrose while emergency crews responded.
One of the injured victims remains hospitalized. The other injured victim was treated and released. The crash remains under investigation.
