Three Hurt In Johnsburg Crash

JOHNSBURG—An 84-year-old woman was airlifted to the Albany Medical Center Friday following a two car personal injury accident on Route 28 in the town of Johnsburg.

Police said the accident occurred about 6:30 pm. when a northbound 2003 Subaru sedan operated by 91-year-old Melvin B. Robbins of Wyckoff, NJ,  drifted into the on coming lane, striking head-on a southbound 2012 Toyota van operated by Jeffrey M. Puckett, 51,  of San Antonio, Texas. 

Robbins suffered internal injuries and Puckett had minor cuts, police said.  Both were transported to the  Glens Falls Hospital. 

Phyllis B. Robbins, 84,  a passenger in the Subaru was transported to the Warrensburg Fire Department where Life Net 7-2 helicopter transferred her to Albany Medical Center.  

Melvin Robbins was ticketed for failing to stay in a traffic lane.   8-4-12
