Vero Beach man dies in single-car accident on I-95 in Port St. Lucie

PORT ST. LUCIE — A Vero Beach man died Tuesday morning after his car crashed into a wall on Interstate 95 at the Crosstown Parkway interchange, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

About 6:52 a.m. Tuesday, Kenneth Allan Beach, 56, was driving his 2011 Nissan Sentra southbound on I-95 when the car drifted off the road into the median and struck a guardrail, the report states.

The impact of the crash sent the car in a southwesterly direction, where it crossed three lanes of traffic and struck a wall at the Crosstown Parkway overpass, the report states.

Beach was pronounced dead at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center Heart Institute in Fort Pierce.
