A reminder to parents about child restraints, after the death of two children on the roads over the weekend.
An 11-month-old girl died after a Wellington crash on Saturday, and a young child was killed in a Taumarunui crash yesterday.
Assistant Commissioner for Road Policing Dave Cliff says it’s as important as ever that children under eight travel in an appropriate car seat.
“Really ensuring your children, your most precious, are safely restrained is really a fundamental road safety message this year and every year.”
