Girl, 2, killed by car in Delray Beach – Sun

A 2-year-old girl was struck and killed by a car in a Delray Beach neighborhood, officials said Saturday.

The toddler was hit by the vehicle about 6 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of Angler Drive, in the Delray Shore community, according to an email from Rachel VanNess, a city police spokeswoman.

“Initially the driver involved in the crash left the scene, but ultimately returned and is currently cooperating” with the investigation, she said in the email.

During the inquiry, no charges have been filed. No additional details about the crash have been released.
