■ Eastbound lanes of U.S. 41 were blocked as of 3:10 p.m. according to the Florida Highway Patrol. A vehicle crash with injuries near Southwest Boulevard in East Naples. Troopers have been on the scene since 3 p.m.
FHP is reporting clear lanes in both directions of I-75 in Lee and Collier counties. Each county had debris in each direction along mile markers 111, 131, and 135 earlier this afternoon. All has been removed.
Two southbound lanes of U.S. 41 have been reopened as of 11 a.m. just north of Old U.S. 41, according to the FHP. An accident at 875 Retreat Drive, just off U.S. 41 was responsible for shutting down the road this morning. There is no word on the extent of the injuries for those involved, but a Collier dispatcher said one patient is being taken to NCH Downtown. FHP was also on the scene. There was a reported roadblock near the intersection of Retreat Drive and Viewpoint Drive as well.
The Florida Highway Patrol is reporting a fatal crash in Fort Myers, which occurred at 7:15 a.m. NBC-2 has the full story on the elderly couple that was struck while crossing the road. Both died. Troopers were at the scene of tate crash at Harbour Club Road and Winkler Road where a roadblock obstructing two lanes of Winkler Road had been cleared as of 10:15 a.m., according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. FHP said Winkler was temporarily shut between College Pointe Drive and the Bermuda Club condos on Harbour Club Road.
Both the center lane and leftbound lane of U.S. 41 have been reopened, according to FHP, following an earlier crash near Pine Ridge Road. Medics responded this morning to a vehicle crash at about 7:15 a.m. at U.S. 41 and Pine Ridge Road. At least one person was injured in the accident, which occurred shortly before 7 a.m.
The Collier County Sheriff’s Office was also reporting two minor accidents without injuries, one at 7600 Immokalee Rd. and another at Golden Gate Boulevard East and Desoto Boulevard South. A minor accident in Fort Myers at McGregor Boulevard and South College Parkway was being reported by the Florida Highway Patrol this morning as well.

■ Collier County commissioners will hold their regular board meeting at 9 a.m. in commission chambers at the Collier County Government Center, 3299 U.S. 41 E., third floor. Commissioners are expected to approve more than $14.3 million in contracts, most funded by federal and state grants, for runway and safety improvements at the Marco Island and Immokalee airports. Commissioners also are expected to codify speed limits on county-owned roads, and approve increasing civil penalties for unlicensed contractors to comply with state laws. They also are scheduled to vote on a free November through April concert series in Sugden Regional Park.
■ Lee County Public Schools will hold its monthly School Board meeting at 6 p.m. at its district office, 2855 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers. The board is expected to approve several business and finance decisions.
■ Donna Brown, an Estero woman accused of DUI manslaughter, will be in Lee County Judge Margaret Steinbeck’s courtroom for a 1:30 p.m. pretrial conference. Brown is accused in the dragging death of Punta Gorda motorcyclist Carl “Ed” Patrick.
