Liverpool motorcyclist hospitalized after crash throws him 30 feet, police say

Clay, New York — A Liverpool motorcyclist was thrown 30 feet after he struck a turning car in the town of Clay Sunday afternoon, according to police.

Howard McKeever, 70, was driving his motorcycle south on Route 57 when he hit the car of Genevieve Lostumbo, 81, police said.

McKeever was hospitalized with head, leg and arm injuries, according to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office. He landed 30 feet from the site of the collision, police said.

His injuries do not appear life threatening, according to police.

Lostumbo was turning left into a Wendy’s parking lot when McKeever hit her. She was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way, according to police.
