CAMERON - A car accident involving an 18-Wheeler in Cameron took the life of a woman and put another man in the hospital Friday night.
Just before 8:00 p.m., Troy Eugene LeBlanc, 45, was driving his maroon Buick Roadmaster west bound on State Highway 36 and started to turn left onto Scott Avenue.
LeBlanc drove his car right in front of a 2000 Freightliner 18-Wheeler and the truck hit the passenger door of the Buick.
Police believe the impact of the crash killed the passenger in the car, Tanya Ranee Spiller, 34, immediately. The jaws of life were used to get Spiller’s body out of the car.
LeBlanc was rushed to Scott and White Hospital after the accident, but is condition is currently unknown.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured.
