A MAN has been charged after allegedly stealing a car at Palm Beach last night.

At around 10pm a 15-year-old boy and 19-year-old man were walking to their car on Japonica Dr when they were threatened by a group of five males.

They were forced to hand over the keys and were pushed into the back of their car.

The group of five entered the car and drove away, before crashing into a parked car a short while later.

They fled on foot, but one 24-year-old man from Palm Beach was later arrested by police.

He was charged with unlawful possession of a motor vehicle and is due to appear before Southport Magistrates Court on April 16.
